Go Robby, it's your Birthday

We started Rob's birthday celebration with attendance at Mass, and we all know what a special gift for Rob that is.  Normally he's all alone at Sunday service, and to have his whole family with him was like celebrating a holiday!

After church we had lunch and then headed home for a practice session.

Birthday dinner was Chili's and then home for Carvel cake.

After cake Rob opened presents as we lounged and watched from the "new" red couch.

Happy 46th!

Spirit Week Highlights

It was Spirit Week and Homecoming at my school, Higley High.  It started momentously with a Monday storm, courtesy of Norbert, who pounded the valley with rain and flooding.  Spenser always dreamed of having a swimming pool.  It finally came true as the park became Lake Creekwood Ranch.  He and Drew had fun frolicking in it after school.

I participated in Spirit Week every day.  Monday was Pajama Day.

Tuesday was Twin Day.

Wednesday was Workout Day.

Thursday was Travel/Tourist Day.

Friday was Higley Pride Day.

Saturday night was the Homecoming Dance, and I had duty.

It was a fun way to spend a Saturday night!

Earlier that day, we said goodbye to our original (and very old-fashioned) furniture set that my parents bought us for our wedding.

We donated it to the Perry Regiment on Goodwill Day.  They even picked it up for us!

No plans to replace the set, we just brought the red couch downstairs, and will dedicate the loft to our practice sessions.

Vegas!

Stacy, Marguerite, Sienna, and I took a Labor Day Weekend Girls' trip to VeGaS, cuz we be crazy like that.  Here are some of the sights we saw driving in....

The MGM Grand

and the lions in front of it.

On our walking tour we saw Paris, and others such as Caesar's Palace and the Hard Rock.

Here we are inside the Cosmopolitan, the site where Keith Urban would be playing the next night.

Just like my summer trip, here we are at the Brooklyn Bridge!

We stayed at the Monte Carlo, a great place for sun-bathing, relaxing, shopping, and eating.

Stacy and I enjoy our Sunday afternoon, and it was HOT!  I actually had to go into the water, otherwise I would have melted.  Same for all of us!

My drink was a Pina Colada.  Worth $27?  Probably not, but still fun to sip.

Samour Selfie!

Greenfield Girls, back together again!

After a hot day at the pool, it was time to rest, shower, and "pretty up" for the concert.

Here we are posing with The Blue Men Group.  They are just statues.

Pre-concert pic with Sienna!

Lined up and ready!

Brett Eldredge started the show and he was great!

Then it was time for Jerrod Nieman.

He was good too.  But the star of his show was this young and "saxy" man, C.T. Blackmore, otherwise known as Sienna's crush.  She eyed him all night, and when she tweeted something about him the next day, he re-tweeted her message.  So yeah, she's happy!

Keith was awesome as always.  He had us rockin' long into the night.

Now we are back to work, school, and regular life living.  But it was fun to live it up for a moment!
