Birthday Weekend

My birthday weekend was a slammin' one!

I started with a concert Friday night.  The opener was the band Gloriana.

Then it was the legendary Sheryl Crow.

Then the headliner - Rascal Flatts!

My friend Marguerite from my former school took me when her sister couldn't make it.  Free pit ticket!  Score! Then Saturday night Stacy and I went dancing at Denim and Diamonds.  Two-stepping, line dancing, and 50 cent drinks made for a fun night.

On Sunday, the family took me to dinner for honey-hot wings at Native New Yorker - yum.

Cake time included my favorite - carrot!

I made the family learn one of the easier line dances.  Here they are, matching shirts and all.

Spenser wouldn't partake, but we still had fun!

The dance is called the "Wobble."

18 Years

We celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary with a quick photo shoot and dinner with the kids at Logan's Roadhouse.

 Sienna was a photographer,

but so was Spenser.

Thanks guys!

Sweet Sixteen

Remember this little peanut?

Now she's 16!  She came downstairs to find the house decorated

to celebrate the big day.

For dinner she chose Johnny Rockets, complete with ketchup in happy face form!

After dinner we came home for cake and presents.

A girl's gotta get a little silly!

Then it was present time.

She was definitely dumbfounded to open Grandma and Grandpa's present!

On Saturday she had another cake,

along with her friends for a sleepover.

HAPPY SWEET SIXTEEN TO OUR SUPER SIENNA SAMOUR!

9th and 11th

My babies are now a junior and freshman in high school! Can't help but feel old when I look at how grown up they've become.

Here is Spenser, all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at 6 am in the morning!

Proud father and son.

Proud father and daughter.  She is bright-eyed and bushy-tailed too (although since she's driving she better be!)

They had a great first day and first week.

Six Flags and Ocean City

To continue our Jersey vacation story, after Grandma's big birthday bash we visited Six Flags and then hit the beach in Ocean City.

Here are some views of the park from the Skyride.

I was not brave enough to ride any of the above coasters, nor the one below.  But Rob, Sienna, and Spenser are on the one pictured below!

That is them dropping at an alarming rate!

I preferred tamer rides, like the Safari.

The next day it was off to Ocean City in the buick to visit Pat.

Lots of relaxing fun on the beach.

Sienna recreated a photo from back in the day.

Family beach selfie!

All boys must dig holes and create trenches.  Some must lay in it.

When not on the beach, we were on the porch, enjoying a beverage.

The kids had their fun too!

It was fun at the beach until Spenser's bout with food poisoning, but he recovered with a respite at Grandma's house and then it was back to sizzlin' Arizona.

The night before we flew home, we hit the Saloon for a CBM reunion.

Always neat to see this group together!

Thanks for the memories New Jersey!
